Our Values

That is, our way of working.

Openness

A good relationship is based on openness. We strive for openness about our background, our activities, our motives, our practice, the teaching lines we follow and the teachers. We encourage open dialogue, asking questions and wondering.

Non-violence

Our actions are guided by respect for all life. We do not accept any kind of violence: mental or physical. This means, among other things, that we are careful about how we assist and speak in our classes. The principle of non-violence covers not only people, but also other beings. We try to do our best for our part, so that everyone has a good and safe place to be and live in this world.

Honesty

We strive for directness and transparency. We call things by their true names. However, honesty does not mean telling unpleasant truths for fun. Wisdom is knowing when and what to say.

Reliability

We want our actions and words to be trusted. We don't gossip. Your personal affairs will remain as such. A functioning student-teacher relationship is always based on mutual trust. Also good service.

Equality

We don't care who you are or what your background is. We do not make assumptions about, for example, your ability to function, your gender, your sexuality or your income level. Anyone can practice yoga, believe us. The only thing you need is an open heart and a willingness to learn. For us, each practitioner is an individual and equally important. That's why it doesn't matter to us whether there is one participant in a yoga class or 20.

Respect

In the tradition of yoga, respect plays a central role. And it is also an important value for us. Without respect, you cannot create a genuine connection. Respect can be seen e.g. as respecting the boundaries of oneself and others, listening and being present, taking others into account and giving space, in choice of words and sometimes also in the way you dress. We respect our teachers and the teachings we have received, and therefore we strive to pass them on as well as possible.

Helping

We want to help as many as possible with our activities. Not only through yoga and nature, but also indirectly: if our activities sometimes produce more than our basic needs require, we want to support those who have been given the least in this life. Since everyone has to make their own choices about what to spend their resources on, we mainly aim to support people in Nepal. But other parties also receive our help from time to time. If you want to participate in helping, come and talk to us. We may be able to suggest parties through which to do good.

Responsibility

We only teach what we ourselves practice and have experience with. We take responsibility for our own activities. If we don't know something, we are open about it. However, we can promise that thanks to our wonderful teachers, we always have a contact who is more knowledgeable and experienced than we are. We strive to be as socially, ecologically, ethically and financially responsible as possible.

Sustainability

We want to support ecological, economic, social and cultural sustainability with our activities. This means that we strive to burden our environment as little as possible, we make and produce only as needed, we only buy and acquire raw materials in the necessary quantities, we do not waste resources, we pay a fair salary to ourselves and our potential future employees, we cherish cultural traditions and build a company culture where it´s good to work.

What we expect from you?

Effective cooperation is always based on reciprocity, a sense of safety and openness. That's why we hope that you take the following into account with our classes and services:

  • Respect your companions. Don't talk over others and give space to others, too. Do not comment, criticize or amaze other people's practice, skills, experiences, body / its size, appearance, language skills, etc. without being asked.

  • Please try to avoid making assumptions about other people, such as their financial situation, social status, ethnicity, citizenship, language skills, gender, sexuality or ability to function. Let the person tell themselves if they want to share something. If you're worried, ask matter-of-factly.

  • Please dress respectfully of others. In a yoga practice, the external being is perhaps the least important thing. Comfortable clothes that are flexible and don't cling to anything are the best. The less clothing draws attention to yourself and others, the better for yoga. Remember that not everyone experiences things the same way as you do. In yoga, attention is meant to focus on what you are doing, on your inner world. That is why it is recommended to eliminate all unnecessary external stimuli.
  • Be on time. Whether you're coming to class or a workshop, being on time gives you a chance to settle in and calm down before you start. Making things out of peace is much more satisfying than out of chaos.
  • You don't shout, run, rush or talk loudly in yoga space. We practice calming down, and the time before and after being on the mat is also part of the practice.
  • Please be open and responsible about yourself. We do not make assumptions about anyone's state of health, ability to function, skills, background, etc. That is why it is of the utmost importance that you tell us if you have diseases or injuries that may affect the practice, any mental health challenges, medications, restrictions or if you are pregnant, for example. Although almost anyone can practice yoga, not all exercises are suitable for everyone or require variations to be safe. Remember that you are always responsible for yourself, your practice and your health.
  • Please note that we are not doctors or psychotherapists, although yoga can promote health and well-being in many ways. If you have or suspect physical illnesses or mental health challenges, please always consult a suitable medical professional before participating in the practices.
