Traditionally, yoga is a holistic method: asanas and pranayama refine our physical energy towards peace and stability. At the same time, they make the body and mind stronger, more flexible and more relaxed. These are prerequisites for the more internal practices of yoga, such as meditation.

If we cannot sit comfortably for more than two minutes, it is impossible to focus on meditation. The philosophical side of yoga, on the other hand, is an instruction book for practical yoga practice: how yoga is taken from the mat to other areas of life and how other areas of life affect our yoga practice. Bhakti could be characterized as the red thread of the whole practice.
